Pay Your Road and School Taxes

January 9th, 2012

It’s a new year; make a resolution to tell the rich and greedy how foul their actions are to all the rest of us.  We need to explain to them that nobody really loves them because they are rich, yet many despise them for their greed.

This society should find ways to inform them that wanting the biggest yacht only means that they are insecure. Envy is a sick human emotion whether you are rich or poor.

We would respect you more if you paid your fair taxes in this free enterprise country that has made you rich. Give us back our libraries, schools and highways.

We know you don’t like public education because an ignorant populace is easier to indenture and sell worthless stuff to. You can pay to educate your children, and if roads get bad from lack of taxes, you can buy better cars for bumps.

We can’t wait to see you move to the South of France and leave us alone.  Go ahead, congregate in your gated golf and yacht clubs and compete amongst yourselves for the gaudiest houses, biggest boats and most expensive nine irons, but please pay your taxes and get off our backs!

Selfishness and Altruism

November 17th, 2011

Selfish people do not understand altruism.  They consider it weakness, but in truth, it is a form of strength that they will never possess.
Sadly, with the capitalism that exists today, there are people who are dedicated only to their own bank accounts. They have no compassion for others who are not type A like themselves.
The core of the Occupy movement is committed to equality for all mankind. It’s called Free Enterprise, a level playing field. Sure, there are homeless and “street people” involved in the actions of Occupy, but then they are the ones who have been afflicted most by the greed of the 1%.
The Greatest Generation is a misnomer; just look at what they have left us with! And now they won’t even let us fix it!
The Love Generation and younger generations are going to have to live with the legacy of greed.  Please, those of you who are critical of “Occupy,” consider the future of mankind on this earth, and step aside for those who will be here after you exit.

Occupy For Equality

November 17th, 2011

Over 34,000 people were killed in recent revolutions in North Africa. That will happen when people are economically ignored and disenfranchised by their “governments.” Is this what’s in store for the United States?

Our founding fathers made provisions for periodic, peaceful re-evaluation of governing laws. They did this so that greedy demigods would not be able to take advantage of the majority population and return us to a feudal system.

Our founders chose democracy because it is the best form of government for the largest number of people. The ability of a democracy to change peacefully is its advantage. Anarchy and war are disruptive to life. Our population has forgotten this because the last war on our soil was the Civil War in the 1860s.

It is not possible to sustain democracy unless our economic system is also democratic. Capitalism is not democratic; it’s like the feudal system we left the old country to escape. Free enterprise is what this country was based on. Remember usury and monopoly laws that protected the American dream? Capitalists have been changing the playing field so that all money flows to them.

Occupy peacefully to make your voice heard; vote radically to make it felt.

Debate about the soul of this country

September 20th, 2011

September 11, 2011

The debate about the soul of this country continues.  I am a liberal, bleeding-heart, Democrat. I have dedicated my life to reading, study, and contemplation of good and evil, and now I write and talk to people who will listen, explaining my interpretation of basic morality and positive humanitarian ideals.

Why do I do this?  Because, I care deeply about this country, its people, and democracy and I am ashamed of America’s politics and economics and how they affect this world. I am a true American patriot.

Fact, the Republican Party today is the party of war, oppression and Capitalist greed.  The majority of people suffer from Republican administrations.

Fact, the Democratic Party today is the party of peace, tolerance and free enterprise for all.  The majority of people are helped by a Democratic administrations.

Perry, the Republican presidential candidate front-runner is an avowed Christian. During his ten-year administration as Taxis governor he has executed 234 prisoners, at least one of which was innocent.  What would Christ think of this?

If you believe this country should be the country of war, greed and anti-Christ-like behavior than vote Republican. And may God have mercy on your soul.

Tea Party, Christianity, August, 2011

August 18th, 2011

Tea Party mentality reminds me of what has always concerned me about fundamentalist Christianity. Dictatorial, un-compromising religion or politics have no place in a democracy. Neither fits within humanitarian aspirations. That is why our wise and benevolent Founding Fathers created separation of church and state.

And now, in an effort to circumvent this important constitutional law, fundamentalists have created their own political party.  I might add, you don’t have to be religious to espouse this form of anti-democracy. All you have to be is insecure and selfish. No one who cares about the future of Earth and mankind need apply.

It goes back to Armageddon/rapture, faith-based religious theory.  If you have been told that the world is going end soon anyway, why not extract all you can, right now, from the Earth and all the other people on it? Fear of being left out of “heaven” makes people religious; fear of missing out on what “others” have makes people greedy. Both religious and political fundamentalism are greed- and fear-based ideologies.

How people vote often indicates their emotional state rather than their political or intellectual understanding. Remember, a pure democracy is the best form of government for the majority, and in most cases even you are in the majority.

Armageddon, August, 2011

August 18th, 2011

Armageddon is the trump card of those who want to control you.  Not only will you go to hell when you die if you don’t give them everything they want, but the end time might just come unexpectedly, and you will miss out if you happened to be fudging at that moment.  Yet, if you are being good that very second of the rapture, then you will be lifted up, and all of those people you hate will have to stay here and endure a great deal of pain and anguish.

Intellectuals, Reagan, September, 2011

August 18th, 2011

Intellectuals are speaking out. Liberals have overcome their natural timidity.

Thinking people should not be feared; the mind is humanity’s most valuable asset. Don’t demonize intellectuals; we are searching for the truth.  We are truly looking out for you.

Intellectuals are the first to be imprisoned during any left- or right-wing dictatorship.  That is because we believe passionately in democracy and freedom.

If you are fundamentally religious or conservative, it may be difficult to see the truth in what we say. Alas, if you don’t listen to us, a bright future of mankind living harmoniously will be put off for another generation.

Republicans have lied to the majority since the Reagan administration.  Many people think that the rich must be doing something right; yet often it is that they are doing something wrong.  Many think that we should listen to the rich and powerful…but the rich are only speaking for the rich.

Right-wing ideology benefits 7% of Americans; liberal programs benefit 93% of the American people.

Maybe you’re backing the wrong politicians for the good of your family and this country. To be a true American, judge your commitments by the intent of our Founding Fathers and the Constitution.

Tax cuts for oil companies

Tax cuts for oil companies

The idea of capitalism holds power over many ordinary, average people who will never in their entire lifetime benefit from it.  It verges on a mental illness– unattainable expectations.

These people believe that they must support the wealthy so that some day when they become rich themselves they will have those protections.  The saddest expectation of the poor is that the wealthy might reach down and lift them up into riches.  The rich do not help competition!  There are only so many stalls in the executive bathroom.

The American Dream was a wonderful, achievable expectation, but it never promised that everyone would become rich, just comfortable.  Of course, Ronald Reagan killed even that possibility during his presidency.

At this time in its history, the GOP is not of the people it is of the corporations.  They have tilted the playing field.  Free Enterprise is gone; it is Capitalism only and Capitalism is the new Feudal system.  You are now just serfs working for the gentry.

Vote for a Republican; get ready to suffer.  They do it every time; the history and documentation is there.  Stop listening to Fox “news;” explore other sources of information and read the facts.

Nuclear Meltdown in Japan

Tea Party 1

September 14th, 2009

Recently McClatchy Newspapers columnist Steven Thomma wrote an article headlined “Nation’s mood swings to anger.” The sub-headlines and bold quotes were “Americans’ discontent with Democrats carries over from Bush policies,” and “If the election were held today, the Democratic losses would be huge.”

My reaction to these statements is that I find it idiotic for the American public to blame the Democrats for the crises that the Republicans have created. It is a grave disappointment to me that any American can be so stupid. I know it’s politically incorrect to use the “stupid” word, but it is time for liberals to start speaking their convictions.

The “anger” we see reported by the media comes from a very small minority of “well-organized” conservatives who have “stolen” the liberal tactic of peaceful dissent and perverted it to new “violent” levels. Carrying guns is not only a statement, but also a threat of violence that breaks the sanctity of our freedom of speech.

The depth of anger is overblown by the media, and the direction from which the anger flows is greatly misrepresented. There is a hundred thousand times as much anger directed toward the capitalists who created this mess than directed toward the present administration that is trying to fix it.

The conservative backlash organizations are made up of core groups funded by capitalists and peopled by ignorant “poor folks” (Non PC again) who think that, by supporting capitalism, they will, themselves, become rich. These demonstrators have taken the free-speech tactics that they ridiculed for so many years, and are now using them in new, deceptive and mean-spirited ways.

I must argue that our hard earned freedom of speech was never meant to give us the freedom to lie! Liberals have a tendency to tell the truth to support their ideals; conservatives have a tendency to lie to protect their economic status or religious convictions.

The health care issue is a sad example of the way in which this country is being deceived by those who have monetary motives. The only reason we don’t have a public health care system in this country like every other industrial nation, is the greed of a minority of rich people who think they are entitled to lie, cheat and steal. Because they have the money, they have the media voice, and the poor in this country are foolishly cutting their own throats by believing them.

The Republicans are now talking about a revolution, but their revolution is focused toward giving more control to the capitalist dictatorship that got us in this soup. The conservative revolution is exactly the opposite of the revolution Jefferson said should take place periodically. A democratic revolution frees most people; a capitalist revolution oppresses most people.

I don’t believe that the Democrats are always right; they tend to compromise too often and pander to big business. I feel that a straight liberal agenda is better for the majority of people. And, after all, we are a democracy, and our government is supposed to be for the people, of and by the people.

To the “undecided” in the middle that flop back and forth, one time voting for Republicans, and the next time, Democrats, I ask, what is wrong with you? Don’t you know what side your bread is buttered on? If you think the capitalists are going to help you get rich, you underestimate their spirit of competition. There are just so many stalls in the executive bathroom.

Liberals should be proud of that designation because the liberal intellect demands that we seek the truth. And, as far as our inability to get through to the mass of “undecided,” do not falter or be timid, speak the truth with conviction, loud and clear. Never be conservative with the truth nor aggressive in deceit, as the other side.
